Ingredients:

  • Milk - 500ml
  • Sugar - 100g
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 packet
  • Cornstarch - 30g
  • Eggs - 2, separated into yolks and whites
  • Butter - 30g

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk with half of the sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining sugar with the cornstarch and vanilla sugar. Add a little cold milk to make a paste.
  3. Slowly pour the hot milk over the sugar-cornstarch paste while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the egg yolks and butter.
  6. Pour the mixture into individual ramekins and let it cool. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
